First, his photographs for Vogue and Chloé, the photographs of his wife and him. Then a large hall welcoming big shots of women in black and white, naked on one, clothed on the other, disturbing stagings. You walk across the room, blushing at the sight of naked body while you keep in mind Newton’s nerves and the quotes written on the big blue walls. You keep going on and discover Catherine Deneuve, Dali, De Monaco’s family, Lagerfeld, Margaret Thatcher or Le Pen, models, dancers, Grace Kelly or Charlotte Rampling. Then you turn around and are speechless in front of Van Cleef and Arpels advertisings.
As I walked out of the room, I met Cyril Lignac in a Burberry trench.
I found the exhibition too short, I expected more photographs, but it was really nice. There are many nude photos and some made me stop for a while to think about Newton’s thoughts when he took the photo. Why all these violent women, this raw nude, these
crasy stagings...

What’s cool is that everyone sees what he wants, and you have to stand in front of the photographs to have your own opinion.
